The Aguilera Brothers are a coffee growing dynasty in the West Valley of Costa Rica. They have been growing coffee for over 60 years, with a focus on specialty for two decades. Across all their family farms, they produce more than 35 different varieties, in various processing methods, all processed at the family’s own micro-mill. Finca Toño is the closest farm to the mill and affectionately named after one of the brothers – Antonio Aguilera, or Toño. The Aguilera’s are dedicated to producing the highest quality coffees possible, and consistently place in the Costa Rica Cup of Excellence competition. Most recently, the Aguilera’s placed in the 2023 COsta Rican Cup of Excellence with a coffee from Finca Toño.
This coffee is a Honey processed Villa Sarchi, a natural dwarf mutation of Bourbon. A true all rounder, working well regardless of how its brewed. There’s jammy plum and stone fruit, brown sugar and caramel sweetness and a creamy textured mouthfeel. The sort of coffee you can drink all weekend long!
