Why this coffee?
Yirgacheffe is a world renowned coffee producing microregion. So much so that the Ethiopian government have trademarked it along with other key regions to utilise that reputation to export more coffee form the area. This reputation for quality has been earned by coffees like this one though, a small lot from on female produce Nafkot Admasu, a dedicated farmer who operates her small farm and washing station at 2150 metres above sea level. Her coffee is a wonderful example of naturally processed Ethiopian heirloom varietals.
Where is it grown and Farmed?
The farm is located in Gedicho, Idido, Yirgacheffe. It is only 0.5 hectares in size and benefits from a unique environment where exceptional heirloom cultivar beans are grown.
How has the coffee been processed?
Naturally sun dried, naturally. On raised beds for 12-15 days.
What can you expect from the smell and taste?
Sweet and juicy flavours of Pineapple, Raspberry, Rum and Raisin and Fudge.
How do we like it?
This coffee makes excellent filter coffee either brewed using cone drip brewer, filter machine, or french press. There is great potential for tasty shots of espresso with this coffee also.
