Hacienda Santa Luz was brought back from the dead in 2003 when it was acquired as abandoned land. Thank goodness because now its producing some wonderful and exciting coffee.
This is a H3 varietal produced as an F1 hybrid and a cross between Caturra and an Ethiopian Landrace varietal. This coffee is one of a pair to highlight the role of processing in affecting the flavour and character of a coffee.
This is Blueberry Candy; an anaerobic naturally processed coffee with flavours of blueberry (obviously) raspberry, lavender, vanilla and buttery chocolate. Makes a very nice espresso but also plenty of complexity for a great filter profile too.
