Description
This is a coffee we all enjoy in the office, but its also turns up in a few of our wholesale blends too. Moreover, its a coffee we buy year on year. It always offers a really satisfying cup. The cooperative sits on the slopes of the Acatenango volcano. This is the third highest in the Central American range. In addition, Volcan de Acatenango is located close to Volcan de Fuego. The latter erupted in 2018 causing widespread destruction.
We offer this coffee as part of our support for a local charity. Education for the Children (ETFC) run The School of Hope in Jocotenango. This is approx 30 miles from the main area where this coffee is grown. The School provides funded education and nutrition right up to university level. The coffee itself is an excellent washed SHB. It has good balance of acidity, sweetness and body and works well across all brew methods.
Honey and cane sugar sweetness, lime citrus and cocoa notes.
